UpRiver Village is currently looking for three KEY VOLUNTEERS to help with organizational development and infrastructure creation. Our timeline for launching (i.e. being able to fill service requests from our senior members) depends entirely on our ability to recruit volunteers for the following key roles:
The Communications Assistant will work with others to inform potential volunteers, members and the public about and promote UpRiver Village in print (develop website content, newsletters, a brochure, social media posts, etc.)
The Outreach Assistant will work with others to develop lists of individuals and organizations with missions and interests that align with UpRiver Village, and will reach out to these people and organizations to schedule presentations, discussions or tabling opportunities.
The Volunteer Management Assistant will work with others to recruit, manage, recognize and retain administrative volunteers and volunteers who will provide direct services to seniors.

UpRiver Village volunteer applicants will need to complete an application, interview and background check before providing direct services to clients. Volunteers may not need a background check if providing administrative support. Volunteer applicants will be asked to indicate which of the following types of tasks they are willing to contribute:
