UpRiver Village will open to provide services to members when we have reached a potential membership of at least 25 with an equal number of interested volunteers. Prospective members will be interviewed prior to joining to assure that UpRiver Village can provide volunteer services to meet the member’s needs and expectations.
Households that are within the city limits of our service area of Gresham, Troutdale, Fairview and Wood Village, but have Portland or other mailing addresses, will be eligible for Regular or Premium Membership. Households that have mailing addresses in Gresham, Troutdale, Fairview and Wood Village and/or vote in these cities’ elections (addresses in unincorporated Multnomah County) are also eligible for Regular or Premium membership.
Seniors living outside the UpRiver Village service area described above may volunteer and join as Social Members, but will not be eligible to receive services.
UpRiver Village will offer the ability to upgrade from a Regular Membership to a Premium Membership for a maximum period of two months once a year.
UpRiver Village will offer scholarships to low-income seniors based on a formula established by Villages NW. An application will be available as they get closer to launching.
